Hi Beautiful Readers. Hope everyone is safe in this Pandemic. Since the Lockdown has started we all have become more self-aware, like it was a blessing in disguise. For me, the focus has shifted on learning new hobbies, diet intake, and more importantly my skincare. From home remedies to luxurious Nykaa Hauls, Honestly, I’ve tried it all. I still remember watching for the first time a hit from BlackPink and wondering only if I could ever achieve that glow. I did my research on some Korean Skincare Routines and understood the foundation on which I have to build my journey. I am not a professional nor someone with a piece of vast knowledge and experience in any beauty industry; I am just a beginner like you guys watching YouTube videos at midnight on how to get rid of dark circles or how to achieve fresh-looking skin in the morning.
My skin type has always been changing, till 21 years of age it was oily skin covered with acne, but since few years it has become extremely dry and flaky with little texture, but Yes no more acnes or pimples; except those occasional ones ;)
I am sharing my experience on the all the products which I have used during the process and effects post 90 days of the ritual. My only motive is to help you guys from my experience because I can understand skincare can be expensive and time-consuming so better to avoid any waste of resources!
The products I used in my daily skincare routine according to the steps of the application
1) Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser
2) Minimalist PHA 3% + Biotic Toner
3) LANEIGE Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer
4) Kama Ayurveda Pure Rose Water
5) Minimalist Hyaluronic Acid 2% + Vitamin B5
6) Nykaa Skin Secrets Sheet Mask
7) LANEIGE Water Bank Hydro Essence
8) Ponds Super Light Get Oil-Free Moisturizer
9) LANEIGE Water Sleeping Mask
Hush! Seems a lot of Products but trust me Korean Skincare is all about multiple steps of routine which have to be followed religiously a minimum of twice a day.
Results post Application
On day 1 of the application, the experience was amazing, after each step, my skin drank all the moisture almost instantly as if it has been thirsty for years. The best part was waking up the next day and seeing myself in the mirror. Trust me guys, my texture on the skin was reduced to almost 60% in just 1 night. I did have high hopes for all these products but I never expected these fast results. Truly the first week was full of amazing differences in my skin.
Post 2nd Week, the effects were slowed, maybe no effects at all. My skin saturated with the ingredients used in each product and was taking time to show results. But still, since I invested few thousand on these products I didn’t want to stop and continued with the same enthusiasm.
1 month of the process and I never felt my skin be dry or flaky not even after exfoliating; which is a Holy Grail. My texture has completely vanished. But Still, I was yet to see that glass effect for which I’ve been hustling.
It’s almost 3 months but still, there is no glass effect nor that shine which I expected from seeing thousands of skincare videos. I can feel my skin be hydrated and moisturized but that highlight is still missing.
I believe the concept of glass skin on Indian skin is a #Myth. I’ve seen very few or no people with that effect. Maybe something to do with the climate we live in or the food we eat. My readers if you are having normally hydrated skin then following these 9 steps of skincare rituals can be a waste of time. But if you are like me battling the problems of rough, dry skin you should definitely invest in it. There’s no going back!
I tried to be honest and brief while sharing my experience but if anyone feels they have any questions or would like to know more, please comment and I’ll be happy to answer those.
As it’s my first post I am a little overwhelmed by the entire process but Thank You guys for taking out time to read my experience, would appreciate your support in the future.
Love.
